VISION. VOICE. PROVEN LEADERSHIP.
Dear Neighbors and Friends,
I would like to thank everyone in the 45th District (Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Twp) who took the time to vote in the General Election. I am honored that the voters chose me to represent them in the State House of Representatives. There is a lot of work to be done within the district and throughout Michigan. I believe that my experiences as a small business owner and a public official uniquely combine to offer the new 55th District effective representation.
It has been my great privilege to serve for eight years (2001-2019) as an At-Large Member of the Rochester Hills City Council; one year as Vice President and four years as President. I’ve worked closely with our area’s elected officials, community leaders and residents. They have invested ten years in me, now, as their area-wide representative. Continuing to represent this area’s interests in Lansing seems an ideal way to generate an ongoing return on that investment.
I’ve been a resident of Rochester Hills sine 1989 and have been very involved: Cantor at St Andrew Catholic Church for 29 years, business owner for 23 years, elected official for 10 years, and have performed fundraising concerts for Angels’ Place (25 years), Neighborhood House (16 years), Older Persons’ Commission and several other organizations.
My spouse of 45 years, Susan, is a business owner on Main Street in downtown Rochester: Susan Tisdel Ink. Our children—Laura (Tisdel) Burton and Andrew Tisdel—attended Rochester Community Schools and Notre Dame Prep.
This website will provide a brief introduction and provide valuable links to my State House webpage, social media, and other information. Please take some time to learn more about me, fill out the contact form, or call/email regarding specific issues.
